Today's HyStar sharing her thoughts about the hydrogen industry and upcoming festivities is Engineering Intern Jenny Østenstad!

What has been the highlight of your year in 2022?

My highlight of the year was having all of my friends return from their exchange years abroad. Trondheim was super quiet without them!

What are you hoping to get for Christmas?

I’m not really focused on gifts, and this year I’m spending Christmas in a rented apartment with my mom (we’re moving out of our house and thus have no furniture), so I’m not even sure if we’ll have a Christmas tree! So, my focus will be on spending time with family and friends and getting some very needed rest in before the new year.

What’s in store for the hydrogen industry over the next few years?

I think hydrogen is still somewhat underestimated by many, with regards to its possibilities as a commercially viable energy carrier. I believe we will see a change in that soon. I also hope to see much more published research on PEM electrolysis!

Any New Year’s resolutions you’ll be making that you could tell us about?

I usually don’t make resolutions; I don’t think I could keep them.

What are you most looking forward to in 2023?

Enjoying my last semester as a student!
