Today's HyStar sharing his thoughts about the hydrogen industry and upcoming festivities is Process Engineer Pål Ryssdal Tveit!

What has been the highlight of your year in 2022?

That is a difficult question, this has been an eventful year! The first (few) beers going out in Oslo after a long Covid lockdown was definitely a high point, but I would have to say the first time going reindeer hunting at Hardangervidda was probably the best.

What are you hoping to get for Christmas?

I am hoping for some sort of wooden Danish design furniture piece to place in our apartment.

What’s in store for the hydrogen industry over the next few years?

Hard to say on a grand scale.  As stack production increases and more hydrogen production plants are put into operation, I think hydrogen will transition from a buzzword to a global commodity. From a process engineer’s point of view, this is great, as I think we will see more specialized equipment enabling us to deliver higher system efficiency and thereby higher overall efficiency.

Any New Year’s resolutions you’ll be making that you could tell us about?

No plans yet…I usually make those up at New Year’s Eve.

What are you most looking forward to in 2023?

Professionally, definitively seeing the HyPilot project built and in physical form! Personally, I am looking forward to skiing during winter, hiking during spring, fishing during summer and hunting during fall.
